... and you can quote me on that lol
Although PIZZA has basic ingredients such as cheese, tomato paste and peppers, it comes in all different variations and I can't try them all. For me, a Good pizza should have a substantial amount of the ingredients its suppose to have; if it's a chicken pizza, it must be loaded with chicken, otherwise it is dry and not at all pleasant to eat. so here's to finding the most loaded pizzas in town! Let's eat...
DOMINO'S PIZZA
Extravaganza: R119.90
Honey mustard: R99.90
Address: Cnr Main & Rocklands Rd Shop 1, Atlantica Building, Sea Point, Cape Town, 8005
So my friends Oyama and Zikhona have been raving about Domino's pizza for a while and I decided to try it. The universe heard my cry
and I won two large pizzas by entering a Facebook competition and boy, oh boy
was I excited.
I tried the extravaganza and the honey mustard, which I was
told was one of the best. We all know different branches can have the same
pizza but with subtle differences here and there. So it is important to note
that I went to the Sea point branch. The manager and the staff members were all
incredible by the way; ever smiling and helpful.
The portion size is a bit smaller than expected. For a large
pizza, you get what looks like a size between medium and large. But the size is
made up for by a fair amount of toppings. The Extravaganza has assorted red
meat with peppers and a bit of cheese. The flavours fused together very well
and you can taste each distinct ingredient and an amalgamation of all of them
all at the same time. There is a sweet and sour element to it and it is safe to say, It is one of the best pizzas we’ve, (shout out to Valeria)
ever tasted.
The Honey mustard pizza was just plain okay. There’s mainly
mustard, onions and a lot of cheese; although it is advertised as a chicken
pizza. I’d recommend that you try MEATZZA (another famous pizza from dominos)
instead of Honey mustard.
All in all, Extravaganza won my heart, and I’m willing to
bet dollars to donuts that you won’t be disappointed!
