Mexican

Mexican food is one of the best foreign cuisines in my opinion. The food is always appetizing, the restaurant full of flamboyant waiters and the atmosphere is always great there. Mexican food restaurants aren't just another stop to have your lunch or dinner, they are also a total Experience. Let's Dig in...

PANCHO'S PLATTER FOR 2/PLATTER FOR 4

Price: 120 for 2 people
          220 for 4 people.

Pancho's is a Restaurant located in lower main road in observatory and it is what you want it to be; you can go there as a family, with a friend,  or a date. The restaurant is very traditional and the atmosphere is always great.

The meal I tried out for you, together with my friends, was the platter for 4. The platter for 2 is similar to the Platter for 4, so it depends on how many people you're with. whats in the platter you ask? i would summarise it as delicious goodness, a little piece of heaven really.

The platter comes in a hot pan that keeps everything warm, and has jalapeno, beef and chicken poppers, chicken wings, nachos, this flatbread filled with cheese, guacamole and more. Trust me when I say you will leave there with your walking ability temporarily slow as this is very much filling.

the manageress there is the best! she is friendly and takes care of everyone, and her personality seems to flow through each and every waiter there. The restaurant is sometimes extremely busy and sometimes it takes a while to get a table, but you can reserve a table or wait in the bar, and I promise it'll be worth.

This restaurant is so good that i feel like commanding you to go have dinner there, more than recommending it. i also command you to try some other items on their menu, you won't be disappointed.

CUBANA'S CHIMICHANGAS

The first time I heard about chimichangas was in the hilarious Jack and Jill movie, written by Adam Sandler. Since then, I’ve been curious about what they are and what they taste like- so I headed to google, the know-it-all of all know-it-alls (try to say that 3x faster)

Google told me that chimichangas are like Mexican, deep fried burritos that are supposed to be very spicy. So when I saw these on Cubana’s menu I had to try them. The chimichangas come with a generous portion of fries (described in Cubana review under “rinswingschickenburgers” page) and you have to order a drink separately if you want.
The first thing I noticed when I got the order, was that the chimichanga came as little mini wraps as opposed to one big Burrito. Secondly, they weren’t spicy at all, which is good news for my fellow spicy food haters J
I had the opportunity to taste two varieties of the chimichanga (or chimichangas now that we know better) One was chicken and the other had an amalgamation of chicken and shredded pork. Both were very tasty I must say, but they were dry at the top and the saucy part was only at the bottom. There was nothing different or unique about them if you normally eat wraps. I wouldn’t say it’s Cubana’s best dish in my opinion but I would definitely try them again.
Browse around the blog for more of Cubana reviews and take your pick.
